About The Gifted Yarn

As a young girl, I grew up watching my mother and grandmother sew and knit for both pleasure and need and it is here where I first learned my craft.

I continued to enjoy ‘crafting’ throughout my life and soon realised that I not only had a hobby, but I also had a gift. 

I yearned to reach out with my creativity (not only as a service) but to also help preserve a tradition and art, and it is here that The Gifted Yarn was born. 

Working from my home in the beautiful county of  Yorkshire (which continuously provides inspiration) I individually make,  alter, repair, re-model and restore items by hand or machine.
